The article talked about the connection between tumors on sea turtles and run off from human activity in Hawaii. The chemicals were causing growths on the sea turtles bodies. The problem comes from there being no barrier between the ocean and developed land. Hawaii lacks any type of barrier, which making one, could solve the problem.

This article talks about how human activity in Hawaii is effecting sea turtles. Tumors have been found on the sea turtles from the chemicals coming from the run off. If there were Some type of barrier it could maybe protect the turtles from getting the disease.

I can't believe the damage the runoff is causing to these poor innocent turtles. I hope this research will help in doing something to stop the tumors from forming. These turtles shouldn't be punished for our lazy ways of polluting the earth. I feel bad that the turtles don't understand that it is the food they are eating that is causing them to get sick and die.

It is no surprise that pullution is doing a bad thing to harmless animals. These innocent turtles are being harmed with human waste and are forming tumors in their bodies. With this new research, scientist not only got a better understanding of what is happening, but a better idea of how to prevent this from happening maybe. Scientists hope this research will help benefit the reef system as a whole.

This is no suprise to me that all of these pollutants are running off into the water. That should be a federal affective And should be take care of by the police. Causing this poor turtles to get tumors on their body is terriable. I think the turtles should not go through this terrible stage in life. All they are trying to do is eat, and they end up eating somthing caused by the pollutants from a farm? Why can't they drain their pollution somewhere else? We need to take cRe of this situation

Sea turtles are forming tumors on their eyes, mouth, fins and internal organs from liquid nitrogen due to human activity. The liquid nitrogen settles into the algey and then sinking down to where the turtles live. By this happening the turtles are forming giant white tumors both internally and externally. We need to stop dumping nitrogen into the lakes and oceans where they live so they won't form giant tumors on their bodies that can be fatal to them.

Learning that the cause of the tumors are due to nitrogen in the runoff ends up in algae that the turtles eat, promoting the formation of tumors on the animals' eyes, flippers and internal organs. It actually does not surprise me that it is because of the devolpment of man.

Sea turtles in Hawaii are forming tumors because of runoff pollution in the water. This is causing death in the Green turtles and endangering the species. The main cause of the runoff is from urban areas and farms. With this information scientist's will be able to study this problem and hopefully prevent the pollution and save the turtle population from becoming endangered.

After reading this article, I've realized that sea turtles in Hawaii are forming tumors because due to pollution in the water. This is, sadly, hurting the habitat and causing the sea turtles to die. The main cause of the pollution is from urban areas and farms. Hopefully scientists and marine biologists can work together and find a solution.

This isn't really a shock to me because pollution is already harming sea animals in so many ways. This is just another effect pollution is having, which could be significantly worse than other effects pollution has, but they all lead to death. Reasons like this lead me to believe that endangered animals like these sea turtles should be kept in a research facility to keep their species alive and possibly grow. If they are to be kept in a safe environment and studied their population can in turn increase back to the numbers they use to be at, and hold a steady reproductive rate when they get released back into the sea. There should also be people who figure out a way to keep the algae at it's normal chemical levels so it is safe for the animals to eat in the sea/ocean.

Pollution today is at an all time high. In Hawaii there is runoff from urban areas and farms, causing an endangered turtle species to from tumors. But due to the fact that we know where the source of pollution is coming from, Scientist are closing in on a solution to this problem. Hopefully saving this fascinating turtle species.

In Hawaii sea turtles are getting tumors on their eyes, mouth, fins, and internal organs from humans activity. They get it from the nitrogen in the runoff ends up in algae that the turtles eat. To protect the turtles humans need to stop doing what they are.

It's sad to hear that turtles are getting tumors on their brain from eating algae. There isn't much we can do about it either because we cannot stop algae from growing because we cannot stop photosynthesis. The thing we can do is reduce farm runoff and pollution from contaminating the algae that is growing tumors in the turtles brains.

The sea turtles are being badly affected by runoff from the land in Hawaii. The turtles are ingesting chemicals from the land that are brought into the water from the runoff. The algae they eat and the water they live in is being polluted with these chemicals. A solution to the problem of the turtles developing tumors would be to create some kind of barrier between the land and the water. The barrier could act as a station for the pollutants and runoff to be captured and therefore avoiding the waters in which the turtles live.

After reading the article about sea turtles getting tumors on their heads really makes me wonder. why have we become so careless about our oceans. If we stopped the runoff from getting to the oceans, sea turtles would not be having tumors on their eyes, mouth, fins, and other organs inside the body. Hopefully scientists will figure out a way to prevent sea turtles from getting tumors and dying.

The tumors in these turtles are impacting an already endangered species. Hawaii's people need to stop the runoff for the good of the turtles and all of the other animals that it could be impacting that also eat the algae. These poor animals do not deserve this treatment since it is their habitat not some companies dumping ground.

Its no surprise that the human waste is harming the animals in the ocean. Our human waste is causing innocent sea turtles to get tumors. The research that the scientists are doing on where exactly the tumors are linked to, will eventually help us find a way to stop this all from happening.

It doesn't surprise me that human waste is causing harm to animals. Sea turtles are being harmed from our activity, and they have no way of avoiding it. Us as humans need to be more careful and kind to our oceans and the animals that inhabit in. Research will help us find ways to lower pollution levels. I feel bad for the turtles because they are getting terrible tumors that are causing them to get sick and die.

The pollution in the run off is affecting more organisams than we realize. The sea turtles that we see with the tumors are only one of many marine organisms that are being effected. In Hawii the polution can have an effect on the coral reefs and and the thousands of marine species that live there. It can cause bleaching of coaral and the tumors on the turtles. These are only he effects that we know of; there are many more that we do not see and can csuse problems in the future.

Its terrible that other species are taking responsible for our own actions .Theres nothing we can do to help the turtles that been affected to get any better. In the article it says that because of the polution 14 times more arginine then before. 14 more times is pretty big. We need to start relazing that Earth isnt just for humans.
