Its not all surprising that marine mammals respond to sound in perceived reactions to threat. What the study did was try to prove this. However, the article did not address if this is harmful or what affects come about a mammal constantly thinking its undergoing threat

I believe that the sound pollution has a big role in the different kind of fish that can hear. Some can hear better and some can here not so good. But the tests have proven that they react to te sounds a lot differently then the other fish they tested. Some would swim around, and some would react differently. So they found out that the different sounds such as vibrating, noises, and impact the fish for hunting, predators, or other harmful or life necessities. They need to have hearing to get by in life

Noise pollution is effecting how fish are living. From vibrations, noises etc. these all are affecting how a fish is hunting, reproducing and their everyday life. Scientists proved that noise is changing how fish react in the ocean and how they are hunting their prey

This article is about noise pollution and experimenting the responses from invertebrates, specifically cuttlefish. The cuttlefish responded the same way a human being would react. Every kind of species would get startled from a sound and, depending on how alarmed the species is, would get away from the noise or twitch. The conclusion, Samson says, is that invertebrates are capable of hearing sound, other what people might believe.

It's crazy to think that we are only now discovering how these invertebrates are affected by sounds. This discovery will open up a bunch of new studies to be done on several other marine organisms. These cuttlefish were a great start to the studies because of how many ways they were able to respond to the sound.

This article is about how noise pollution effects fish. The article said its hard to study these animals because we cant train them to tell us whats wrong. The cuttlefish were already trained and able to communicate with us in many ways.

It was interesting to find out that noise pollution affects so many marine mammals. It affects their ability to communicate, find mates, and hunt for food. It was cool to learn that the cuttlefish has different behavioral responses with different sounds, that they naturally exhibit. Normally the animals have to be trained to exhibit that behavior so, I found it fascinating that they can do it on the own without the training.

I was surprise to read about how noise pollution actually affects marine animals. Who would of thought about that, how noise can harm so many marine animal, making it harder for them to find food, mates, and communicate with one another. It seems that there isn't a lot of research that is being put into this. I feel like there should be more research done because it could help save marine animals lives that are important to the ecosystems.

I think it's cool to read about how noise pollution affects marine animals. I had no idea that it made it harder for animals to do certain tasks such as find food and communicate. I think that with more research we can find ways to lower the amount of problems it causes.

Pollution affects marine animals in all different ways but some people may not have thought of the noise pollution factor. Noise can come off as threats to the marine animals and can affect them tremendously. It is low key but can do so much damage because when people hear of pollution they just think of trash in the ocean but noise in the ocean can do just as much damage than trash. It is all harmful.

This noise pollution does seem to have a negative effect on the cuttlefish, but in certain ways they seem to be doing fine. Sure there are bad things happening to them naturally due to their "normal" state being toyed with. They will adapt soon enough and be back better then ever.

I thought it was different to read and hear about that noise pollution can affect marine mammals, it's not the worst thing that can happen though. Pollution in the water by garbage or a toxic spill or something along those lines would be much worse, but this is still concerning.

I never knew that noise pollution would be such a problem for marine organisms. Noise can act as a threat to certain animals and disrupt it's hunting, and even mating habits.

I found it to be interesting that noise pollution poses as a problem to marine species. We most commonly hear of water and air pollution being a concern in environmental health, but to hear that noise pollution effects animals such as the cuttlefish is intriguing.
